Oh, the beauty of Spring returning! After all we are ready for Spring, plan early and plan wisely!

It's time to celebrate Spring and the whole revival of nature; we've been enjoying the many birds' return and their morning singing, the yards are green and many of the trees show their buds.



The changes we had are looking good. New floor plan was designed for the Spring Green Chamber of Commerce's office and our new web page looks great. Visit the page for schedule of events and                 more info.

Mother's Day weekend is approaching and not only that but, on May 13th there is something new going on!

Wings over river Valley announces a local event - "birds Festival."

Most likely our independent stores are offering live music every weekend.

Farmer's Market in Spring Green is opening the weekend of mid May;





also May 20-21 there is a special event in Muscoda, people visit from all over the states - Morel Mushroom Festival.
People like to bike from our property to Muscoda.

Wisconsin River Friends will always have some fun activities in the area!

And indeed, we are celebrating our 65th year in business ; feel free to be part of our event we are hosting in May and look out for our special offers as well!

Our Hotel Rooms - The Furniture

The main reason of the furniture we place in a hotel room, is to be making your stay comfortable, give it a homey feeling and a minimal challenge to be dealing with, creating flawless little spaces for each task.
It is rather a simplistic way of saying "thank you, we designed the space for you to easily navigate around, and we hope there is nothing in your way"

During the years, I leaned that people will change the furniture around in the room and, no matter what we do, everyone has an idea they like you to listen to and eventually expect you to change the furniture according to their suggestions. It's not going to match everyone's taste.

The hotel owners, proprietor or whatever you feel like calling us, have a greater responsibility that many can think of! In everything we do, at least 99% of the time, we will have you in mind: when we furnish a room, when designing that, when we decorate, with every move and purchase we are taking in consideration how functional that is, how that particular product services the purpose of making your stay comfortable, how easy is to have appliances placed in a particular spot in a room...

We are people with knowledge, - or all of us should be, knowledge of interior design, - color coordination, educated ourselves and have the information on how our facility should have a lasting impression on your visit and,  we hope you to build great memories of your stay and to remember our place for a long time.

So, as much as we love to listen to your suggestions, they are not always to the most's benefits and furniture is set in the room with a purpose, of design and comfort in mind!

The architectural style is attractive, uncommonly distinctive,

moreover, the unexpected lays behind those closed doors. 

Built with the ORGANIC architecture in mind, each and every

room has a vista window that overview a garden setting.

We now have 3 KINGS in the house. King the III is our latest addition:

features a carpeted room with private bathroom and a recliner love seat,

plus all amenities.

The office sits in the middle of the building and we service 2 WINGS, 

it's like "having open arms" to welcome you in; 

• The East Wing exposes the rooms to the sunrise and you have a view of the backyard and some flower beds and the corn view is in sight.

• The West Wing will give you great view of the sunset and another area of the backyard,flower beds and more greenery.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

It's May, a celebratory month for so many reasons!

We have our own reason to celebrate - it's the month the motel was ready for operation, well, this was way back... in 1952. Although the project started in 1948, it came to completion in May 1952.

Sixty three years in the making and we are loving to be part of this great transformation.

Every year we've been involved in a project around the property, this year it was more like 4 different area we worked on: 

• the house bathroom - made it a master 4piece bathroom, 
• the lobby - reception area got a make over for flooring and wall finishes, 
• then another room, #5 became the cozy, contemporary, welcoming king bed for the modern days 
• and a 4piece bathroom as well.

It seems like I was quite preoccupied for the last couple of months to say the least!
