 Our Check In System, The Process & More


The online booking engine has enabled us to concentrate on what's going on in the office and at the front desk, also helping us save time; when we started with that program it felt like hiring a Virtual Assistant - many places referred to as the - VA. We pay for the service and in other words, we expect it to be working for us.
Preferably we like you to use the online system; get familiar with our policy and take advantage of the LMS Last Minute Special - Web Offers - offers available for immediate booking, (7 days in advance)
The online booking link is available 24/7 on our web page under Room and rates/Amenities tab. 
NEW: Bookable packages gave us the opportunity to extend offers throughout the season and a variety of options! 


Details are important
  • When booking online, we ask certain info to match the info on the person filling in the form
  • PLEASE, enter the ADDRESS on the form as it appears on your credit card BILLING STATEMENT 
  • when booking more rooms you should be aware that the Deposit is charged to your card the same day; you should be comfortable to book 2 or 3 rooms using your credit card data
  • $10 deposit is Required at the time of booking and in the event you cancel that becomes an administration fee and is non refundable; when checking in it is applied towards your total charges. 
Time is precious
  • everyone's time counts, and you might not want to spend too much time by the desk when checking in.
  • if you booked more then one room with one credit card info, be aware that, it will take us more to record the info on the guest that is not in the system
  • IN A HURRY? - please call ahead with your personal info to make the check in a smooth, quick  process
  • VIP - OPEN DOORStop in by the desk and pick up your key (inquire within)



WEEKEND DISCOUNTS
  • There is limitation to what type of discounts we offer over the weekend
  • NEWLY INTRODUCED: 5% OFF for Military, AARP - when a 2 night-stay booking is made
  • Same season returning customers is 3% OFF (if you book more then once for the season, 2nd or 3rd time, discount is offered)

  • State Historic Preservation Review Board approved the nomination of the Rest Haven Motel, original name given, known as The Usonian Inn LLC, on February 18th, 2011 the Historic  
  • in the effort to continuously preserve the property our policy highlights - NO BICYCLES ALLOWED IN THE ROOMS ON AGAINST THE BUILDING!

How To Book a Hotel Room at our property

Booking a hotel is very easy and there is a variety of ways to do it. 

Some people love the thrill of the bargain hunt; others want to talk to the hotel staff in person, so they can be sure and arrange exactly what they want.

Then, there are the people who let a travel agent handle it for them.
Also is the easy way of online booking search engine, showing you alternative days and room types when booking.

There are  a few common ways to book a hotel room with us. All of them will require a credit card, in order to reserve the room and secure your rate.

***Since we are an independent property, we do not have the same procedures for booking a room or saving a room as the chain Hotels do.


Directly from the hotel website. Not all information is on the main page; Click on the ROOM AND RATES tab and click on CHECK AVAILABILITY AND RATES link;

if you travel within the next 7 days to date - check our our WEB DISCOUNT link.
  1. Enter the dates for your stay and number of people/rooms.
  2. Search our pages and links for seasonal offers or special promotion (links in our blog)
  3. Choose a room from the search results. 
  4. Enter your payment information; at the time of booking we retain a $10 deposit which in case of cancellation is non-refundable
  5. Make sure you get a confirmation number or a confirmation email
  6. Print your receipt - ONLY if necessary

Deal with Hotel directly by calling our phone line, we also provide a toll-free number:
  1. Call us within our business hours (8AM - 9PM) or visit the hotel if you are in the area.
  2. Ask about rates for the dates you plan to visit.
  3. Ask about any specials we might have.
  4. Book the room that suits your needs and make your requests at this time.
  5. Give your payment information to reserve the room and keep your receipt - as a green property, we love to e-mail you the receipt. (we prefer to give you a written confirmation)

Travel agents:
  1.  Visit a travel agent
  2. Review options, offer the agent all details, dates, number of travelers in your group, room type you desire.
  3. Submit your payment info to the hotel staff or ask to talk to them directly.
  4. Always ask for a confirmation (we prefer to send it in writing)

  • We do accept most major credit card, inclusive American Express, and NOW also Paypal payment, personal checks are accepted - Wisconsin state only.
  • We require payment upfront at the time of booking.




General Payment info:
  • For most options, the charges will not appear until checkout. During reservations, the hotel checks to make sure your card is valid. Some hotels may require a deposit and some travel websites may require you pay upfront at the time of booking.
  • When you check into the hotel, a hold is placed on the funds that cover the cost of your room. At checkout, the final charges are put through, along with any room service or other services you charged to your room.
  • Travel agents typically require payment upfront.
